When I came into this program I had major doubts, I didn’t think it would change my mindset or my body. Let me tell you…. I am in a GREAT PLACE. My body and mind have never felt so good.Emily Howell
I was never considered “athletic”…. I was that person who tried to find ways to get out of PE. I used to get mad at my husband when he encouraged me to strength train because I thought it was “boring”, cardio was all I knew. However, with my husband’s encouragement, the courage to try from God, and being paired with great trainers such as FitNix, my eyes have been opened to a fitness lifestyle I truly love! It has become something I enjoy, not a “must do” out of guilt from eating too much. I actually WANT to train. Thank You FitNix, for seeing the athlete in me, and giving me valuable tools and insight that have built a passion and desire to push even harder, train even smarter and LOVE THE PROCESS!Gina Rodriguez
I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at 19, and I didn’t realize how often I used the physical limitations my arthritis puts on my body as an excuse for my laziness. And I didn’t realize how hard I was capable of pushing until Christie showed me what it felt like to be strong.
I was presented with the opportunity to train with Christie Nix by a friend who had a new found love of fitness. She invited me to her small group training session, and I begrudgingly went, knowing that I would be severely limited in what I would be able to do. I was sure that this “figure competitor” was going to expect me to do things I was literally incapable of, judge me for my shortcomings, and write me off as a weakling. I actually expected to be ridiculed, embarrassed, and ashamed of myself by the time it was over, if I even made it all the way through.
Instead, I met a kind, strong, compassionate woman who put me through the toughest workout I’d seen in a long time. In hindsight, it was a pretty basic, mostly body weight, boot camp style circuit, but at the time, I felt it. For 30 minutes, I pushed. And when I felt like giving up, Christie was by my side, encouraging me to keep going. When it was over, I felt like I’d accomplished the impossible, and maybe I had.
I continued weekly training sessions for the better part of a year. Each week, Christie pushed me just a little bit harder. Always accommodating my limitations, always making sure I was able to do what she asked, and never letting me give up on myself. While the workouts were tough, and definitely NOT what I would have come up with on my own, it wasn’t the iron that left a lasting impression. I learned what it means to BE strong. I learned how to dig deep, and push through. I learned that I am enough, as I am. And if I give it my best, rather than excuses, I will see progress, and I will get where I am going.

I loved working with Christie Nix (FitNix)! Her training program was a wonderful start to my lifestyle change. She includes a variety of exercises that I could do at home or at the gym. Christie is always there for support and extra help along the way, a friend to root you on! She is very realistic and wants success for you (whatever your definition of success is). After completing the two month program with her, I lost 14 pounds and then another 7 when I added the Isagenix systems in my third month. She taught me about long term nutrition and fueling my body with good food that’s realistic for a busy working mom. Thanks to Chrisite I feel I have the knowledge and resources to to continue my journey, even now that our challenge is completed she is still there for me whenever I have questions. Thanks Christie for being a coach, trainer, mentor and friend.Christy Underwood
